Market season

A quick post to say “Hi” and to check on how you are going with cultivating your creativity, a word of encouragement, and to give you a look at my stall during this market season of 2016.

It has been a hectic couple of months, its market season and I’m on such a steep learning curve, I’m getting a little lightheaded.  In September, I had my first retail market experience at Perth Upmarket.  Perth Upmarket is Perth’s premier handmade market that is held only four times a year and the applications to this market are over-subscribed.  So imagine my surprise and sheer joy when I was accepted to retail.  Here’s a pic of my stall and another of me handlettering on the day, creating bespoke monograms and handlettered pieces for customers.

I also recently opened my standalone shop here at Adelyn makes and have brought my coloring-in mugs to the international market.  How exciting!

Heading into the Christmas season, I have two markets back to back in November (Etsy Made Local Perth and the Christmas Upmarket). I will be launching my Christmas range of mini cards and gift sets, a 2017 calendar featuring my Spring/Summer 2016 collection, and also working on a VERY limited edition of advent calendar.  These advent calendar are faith based and will give you a complete beautiful nativity scene and will help tell the true story of Christmas.  All I hope is that I will have enough hours in the day (and night) to complete all I hope to complete.

But enough about me.  What about you?  How are you travelling?  Have you been keeping up with your creative output?  Is the looming Christmas season stressing you out?  Below is a little freebie for you to encourage you during the end of year craziness.  All you need to do is download it on your phone, using your phone display settings, set it to either your lock screen or your background.  Remember, every journey starts with small steps and that impossible mountain ahead of you is conquered by putting one foot in front of the other.  Remember. Small. Steps.

Stepping small,

Take small steps
